Applied ADR

In the Applied ADR Workshop, you will apply learned skills to a problem that you are dealing with, either personal or work-related, and work individually with one of the instructors to find innovative ways to deal with the problem.  It may be an upcoming negotiation; perhaps a difficult conversation with a family member; perhaps a meeting with a problem-person at work; perhaps a challenging mediation. You will be videotaped and the videotape will be reviewed with one of the instructors in a confidential setting.  You then keep your tape.  This exercise is called the Interpersonal Skills Exercise and is the centerpiece of the Applied ADR Workshop.

You will also participate in eight coached mediation role plays and seven substantive debriefs.

You will also sit in on a real mediation with one of our instructors (service available in Toronto and Ottawa only).
